For some years now have dark nails been liberated from the confines of the emo/goth/punk domain. O.P.I.'s best selling favourite Lincoln Park in the Dark has been a staple for fashionistas (and my humble fingertips for so long that I feel oddly naked without it) for seasons and seasons - as long as they are neatly kept, generally with the super glossy finish that suggested your, well, super glossy finish.
But ahoy! Times are a-changing and an era of matte finishes for me at least, is dawning. I've been feeling the pull of switching colours but Mike Potter (famous for his work with Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and his Knock Out Cosmetics have come to ween me from the safety blanket of my ubiquitous dark purple varnish. Presenting a new capsule collection of smooth matte colours of Flatte Black, Powder, Calamine and Karen, (a foxy red named in honour of the beyond ridonkulously fabulous Karen O) Knock Out is going to cause me to cheat on Lincoln [Park in the Dark].
