All that I have to say about The Big Pink's 'Velvet' I've already said here (Hint: it includes the line "fabulous pieces of white noise"). Now, after the Gang Gang Dance remix of it (which I described as "profound, peculiar and good"), there is another impressive reinterpretation floating around online.
Van Rivers and The Subliminal Kid get together again to create a remix that was a born classic. It sounds like an introspective journey to a time back to when people would say that music was better. Its misty, surrounded by a dark aura and features the greatest line of '09: "These arms are mine / Don't matter who they hold". Epic.
