AIR is back to please your delicate ears once again. The French duo is about to release a new album, Love 2, in mid October but they want you to have a taste of what's coming. So in exchange of your detailed information, they will give you the opening song of their sixth studio album, 'Do The Joy'.
To start, the song is clearly not a single and will never be - it's more like an opening/mood setter song. 'Do The Joy' feels quite like synth music made for a sexy '70s movie which could be a praised if it were from any other band...but with AIR it feels like an eye-rolling "another soundtrack album is coming". Check the song below and see if you agree with us.
Of course no album can be judged for its intro, and this album has everything it needs to be different than Pocket Symphony (a new studio and no outside producer), but we just wish AIR would go back to their Talkie Walkie era and make more songs instead of music to babble to.
