We all know how catchy single syllables repeated can be when used in a song. But for Wild Beasts, 'catchy' doesn't do justice to what their dulcet vocals crooning "Oh-oo-oh-oo-ohhhh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh" do in the lengthily named 'We Still Got The Taste Dancin' On Our Tongues'. I gotta say, for some reason the video makes me giggle a little bit, with it's four horizontal protangonists floating into the snow and fields and sky; and the noble steed running in slow motion and all...
Don't get me wrong, it's moody atmospherics are prettily expressed by Luke Seomore & Joseph Bull (Institute For Eyes), but in this case, it's most definitely the song that is the star. Which really could be the case more often, don't you think? Check the video below and judge for yourself:
