I've said it (or something to this effect) before, and I'll say it again: I really hate to love Darwin Deez! His steez is like, so infectious, I find myself playing that shit on repeat and bopping around to it. His latest video for summer lurve jam, 'Up In The Clouds' is yet another quirkily endearing treatment...and for the record, I HATE 'QUIRKY' (read that with a pinched, nasal and sneering 'quirky') but there's no avoiding it, that's just what Deez IS. And he does it really well. Check it:
'Up In The Clouds' has also gotten not one, but two stellar remixes. One is a funkily bass driven disco number which takes the track from cruising atitude and rockets it into the stratosphere from Jake Bullit:
The other remix from Ed Banger's Mr Flash uses more serious, questioning synths before those sunny guitars from the original kick in alongside some euphoric sounding synth lines.
Nice job in both cases turning winsome cute-pop QUIRK into a more grown up, yeah-bwoy WERK.
