"20 cities, 10 directors, 1 track, and a collective of like-minded individuals across the globe, galvanized by 'The Muzik'" is what the press release promises. People shooting themselves on low qualities cameras doing embarrassing dance moves around the globe is what's delivered in the latest Ebony Bones video. Brazil, Japan, USA, Mexico, Canada, France, Germany, Jamaica, and many more countries are all featured there.
"The Muzik" has a special '70s attitude about it. It's a funky disco song flavored with some post-punk; dark, danceable and surprisingly groovy. The single will be released in 11th of May through Rob da Bank's label Sunday Best and will come with a house remix by The Krays (aka Yuksek and Brondinski).
I thought Ebony's career was long time over, but this new single proves me wrong. It not only got me excited to listen to her debut album Bone of My Bones, but also to see her live gigs - which apparently are like a huge carnival party but with political content. Weird and exciting all in the same time, just like the lady herself.
